President’s Report, Veleta Mullen: A weather friendly summer has allowed many of you to venture out and visit other clubs. Since several clubs are "Dark" during the summer, keep that dance spirit by going on visitations. We all want to have a successful recruitment for our next set of lessons. I hope those clubs that took yard signs last meeting are making sure they are getting used. I have more yard signs here tonight and I would appreciate it if even those clubs not having lessons until later in the year would take their allotment now. George Clark has shared an interesting concept for encouraging square dancing with a public access cable production "Friendship Set to Music." (See attached) I have asked Tom as our web guy to investigate some. Hahn Barn dance date was set as September 7th because the 5th Saturday falls on Labor Day Weekend and the Hahn Barn was not available that weekend.
Vice-President, Judy Schnase: The Hillsboro 4th of July Parade was fun. I made a display board with ribbons and photos and will take it to dances for everyone to see. Janelle sent Thank You notes to Sid Campbell, Debra Welch, Ray Sullivan, and Terry Halley for helping with the 4th of July float.
TVC Past President, Bonnie Deneke: I sent the application of our nominees for the Randall Award to Marilyn Schmit, Federation President. These applications are sent out the end of January every year. State delegates will return a ballot to the past president (Marilyn) no later than December 15, 2008 for the final selection. The Randall Award will be presented at the State Mid Winter Festival in January. I want to thank Barbara Kleve and Tom Sminia for their help. This is the second year I have sent an application in for our deserving nominees. Another couple from the TVC area has been nominated.

Old Business
Finance Committee Report, Gary Clark: Attached is the form to complete for reimbursement of club expenses to advertise your lessons. Yard Signs and Static Clings, Tom & Janice Sminia: One method of attaching the phone number is to print it out on the computer, then encapsulate in clear laminate, and tape it to the yard sign using Scotch Magic Tape. This then should be weather proof and will be removable if you want to change the phone number. We will make up these phone numbers for all the TVC clubs if they wish and we will bill the TVC for the cost of the supplies. The laminate cost is $20 for enough to make 50 sets of phone numbers which will do 25 signs on both sides. Tom’ contact information: 503-848-3841 or tomjan2@verizon.ne. P.S. We have a sign in our front yard and one of our neighbors asked about square dancing and expressed some interest in taking lessons. Static Clings will show up better if you peel and place the Cling in your car window and then replace the paper backing on the back.
Health Fair, Bill Young: Providence Health and Wellness Expo, August 9th, Red Lion Lloyd Center Everything is set up for TVC participation. I have 100 two-sided orange flyers with club and lesson information. Vivian gave me 100 copies of the OFN for distribution, also. I will be sending a report to everyone signed up to work with their shift assignments.
4th of July Parade: Thanks, Judy, for heading up the Hillsboro 4th of July Parade.
