For the past 30 years the Tualatin Valley Council has recognized a couple or individual who has made a significant contribution to the square dancing community. This award is for outstanding dedication and consistently promoting square and round dancing.
We are pleased to announce the TVC Recognition Award for 2025 is presented to Garrett Hoerer
This award is given out annual to individuals who are dedicated to square dancing, someone who is willing to help out in any capacity, as an officer or sweeping the floors and emptying the trash.
This year’s recipient goes for beyond those expectations.
Our person this year not only helps out their own club but several clubs by showing up for lessons and supporting the dances of several clubs and has done this for over 35 years. They attend dances locally, out of our local area and many national dances, including Oregon and Washington.
This individual normally seeks out a capacity to “help” rather than simply participate. He is often unnoticed but always working at something. He does this with quiet dignity, never seeking recognition, simply because it needs to be done.
We all know this person. He is always there working, and always supporting our dancing community.
It is my pleasure to know this person and so happy to introduce GARRETT HOERER as the 2025 TVC Recognition Award recipient.
